You've carefully designed your website in Elementor. Your Global Colors are set, your buttons match your brand, and your logo is used consistently throughout the site.
Then you open the WordPress login page and you're back to the standard WordPress branding.
If you want to customize the WordPress login page with Elementor, you don't necessarily need to build a separate login page or write custom CSS.
With the free DP Websolutions – Login Branding plugin, you can use supported Elementor Global Colors and website styling as the starting point for the real WordPress login screen at wp-login.php.
Can Elementor Customize wp-login.php?
Elementor can be used to create a custom login page with a login widget or form, but that is different from redesigning the native WordPress login screen.
The standard WordPress login page still lives at:
yourdomain.com/wp-login.php
This is the screen website administrators, editors and other WordPress users commonly see when they log in.
If your goal is simply to make that existing login screen match your Elementor website, creating a completely separate page can be unnecessary.
DP Websolutions – Login Branding keeps the native WordPress login page and changes its appearance instead.
Use Your Elementor Global Colors on the WordPress Login Page
This is where the Elementor integration becomes particularly useful.
If you've already defined your brand palette using Elementor Global Colors, you shouldn't have to look up every HEX value and recreate your branding manually for the WordPress login screen.
Login Branding can detect supported Elementor design values and present them as choices for your login page.
That means your existing Elementor design system can become the starting point for your WordPress login branding.
Depending on the settings used on your website, the plugin can detect and work with supported values such as:
- Elementor Global Colors.
- Website and brand colors.
- Button background colors.
- Button text and hover colors.
- Button borders and border radius.
- Button padding and typography.
- Text and accent colors.
The plugin only offers design values it can reliably identify. You can combine those detected values with your own custom settings whenever needed.
Why Use Elementor Global Colors for Login Branding?
Global Colors are one of Elementor's most useful design-system features.
Instead of choosing slightly different colors on every page, you define important brand colors once and reuse them throughout your website.
Your WordPress login page is part of the same brand experience, so it makes sense to start with those same colors.
For example, you could use:
- Your Elementor Primary color for the login button.
- Your Accent color for links and focus states.
- A neutral Global Color for text.
- Your existing button styling for the login button.
You remain in control: Login Branding doesn't automatically force every detected Elementor value onto your login page. You choose which styling you want to apply.
How to Customize the WordPress Login Page with Elementor
Step 1: Install DP Websolutions – Login Branding
In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin.
Search for DP Websolutions – Login Branding, install it and activate it.
The plugin is free and is designed specifically to style the native WordPress login page without requiring custom CSS.
You can see the plugin, screenshots and additional information here:

Step 2: Let the Plugin Detect Your Elementor Branding
After activation, go to Appearance → Login Screen.
Login Branding analyzes the supported website styling it can detect from Elementor and shows it alongside the branding currently used on your WordPress login screen.
This is particularly useful if your website uses Elementor Global Colors.
Instead of opening Elementor, copying a color code, returning to another settings page and pasting it again, you can select supported detected colors directly.
Step 3: Apply Your Elementor Colors and Button Style
Select the detected design elements you want to use and click Apply to login screen.
You might choose to apply your Elementor button styling while keeping your existing login background, or use your Global Colors while selecting a different logo size.
The plugin does not change your Elementor settings. It uses them as a source for your login design.
Step 4: Fine-Tune the Login Page
After applying your website branding, you can fine-tune the result in the WordPress Customizer.
You can adjust elements including the logo, background, login form, button, links and accent colors while viewing the result in a live preview.
You don't need to write CSS, and you don't need to rebuild the WordPress login form in Elementor.
Step 5: Publish and Check wp-login.php
When you're happy with the design, click Publish.
Then visit:
yourdomain.com/wp-login.php
The native WordPress login page now uses the branding you've selected.
It's worth checking the final result both on desktop and mobile, especially if you've used a large logo, custom button padding or a background image.
Does the Login Page Stay Connected to Elementor?
No. This is intentional.
Login Branding can use your Elementor design settings as a source when you apply them, but the published login design is stored separately.
Your public WordPress login page does not need to query Elementor every time somebody logs in.
This also means that changing an Elementor Global Color later won't unexpectedly change your existing login page.
When you want to update the login branding, you can simply detect your current website design again and choose which new values to apply.
What Happens if I Change an Elementor Global Color?
Your existing login design remains unchanged until you decide to update it.
For example, suppose your Elementor Primary color changes from blue to green during a rebrand. Your WordPress login button won't suddenly change on its own.
Open Login Branding again, review the newly detected design values and apply the new color when you're ready.
This gives you the benefits of using your Elementor design system without creating a permanent runtime dependency between Elementor and your login screen.
Do I Need Elementor Pro?
The key question is not whether you're using Elementor Pro, but whether the Elementor design settings you want to reuse are available on your website and can be reliably detected.
Login Branding will show the supported design values it finds. Anything else can still be configured manually in the Customizer.
Elementor Login Widget vs. WordPress Login Branding
There are good reasons to build a separate login page with Elementor.
For example, a custom frontend login page can make sense for a membership website, customer portal or application where users should never see the WordPress administration area.
But that's a different use case.
If you simply want:
- The real WordPress login page.
- Your own logo.
- Your Elementor Global Colors.
- Your website's button styling.
- No custom CSS.
then keeping wp-login.php and branding it directly is often the simpler solution.
Customize the WordPress Login Page Without Rebuilding It
A professional website shouldn't suddenly look generic at the moment somebody logs in.
That's one of the reasons I created DP Websolutions – Login Branding.
Rather than turning login branding into another design project, the plugin lets you start with the visual identity you've already created for your website.
For Elementor users, that means your Global Colors and supported website styling can be reused on the real WordPress login page.
No separate login page. No manually copying every color. No custom CSS required.
And the plugin is completely free.
